NWRS Alumni Singers
May 2026
Welcome, Alumni Singers!
This page is for past NWRS singers who will join current NWRS singers and orchestra on stage at the conclusion of the 25th Anniversary Concert and Celebration.
The selection for current singers with alumni singers is “How Can I Keep from Singing?” by Gwyneth Walker.
Score and rehearsal tracks may be accessed below. There is also a Frequently Asked Questions section below.
Registration
IMPORTANT: Alumni singers must register no later than May 1 and must commit to at least one of two Saturday, May 16 rehearsals.
Rehearsals and Concert
Rehearsal Option 1: Saturday, May 16 from 3 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
and/or
Rehearsal Option 2: Saturday May 16 from 8:45 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. (with orchestra)
NOTE: Rehearsal Option 2 includes other repertoire from the 2nd half of the program. Attending this rehearsal may involve some “stop/start” and flexibility as to when alumni singers take the stage and/or return to the stage. The clear benefit, however, is experience with the orchestra.
Concert: Sunday, May 17 at 3 p.m.
All rehearsals and the concert take place on stage at Schneebeck Concert Hall, University of Puget Sound. Parking is available in the lot at 1449 Union Avenue, adjacent to Thompson Hall.
For rehearsals and the concert, please allow time to park and make your way to the building.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Yes, like all members of the audience, you will need a concert ticket.
Thank you for supporting NWRS through your ticket purchase!
(Note that there are no “dues” to cover costs for your score or the rehearsal tracks.)
-
Alumni are invited to be part of the NWRS weekend, not just the concert.
You’ll prepare ahead of time with a score and practice tracks, and then meet with us at one or two rehearsals (your choice) on Saturday, May 16.
More than a "group number," this is an opportunity to perform together and meaningfully contribute to our 25th anniversary concert, yet the total time commitment is manageable.
Please note that “How Can I Keep from Singing?” will be performed with orchestra, so it’s especially important not to simply “walk on.”
Saturday mimics our typical NWRS sequence (except the evening is a full rehearsal, not a performance). Sunday is reserved for warmup and the concert, as always.
Consider making plans to meet up with fellow alumni and/or current singers on Saturday, outside of rehearsal!
We included an “alumni save the date” for Saturday, May 16 in several of our general 2025-2026 season emails. We hope that many local alumni and even some from further away will choose to participate.
-
NWRS continues to perform in traditional concert attire. Please avoid stripes, prints, and bright colors.
Please wear something dark and solid (or nearly solid). Consider a light shirt/top with dark pants/skirt.
Naturally, black-and-white combinations will match NWRS.
-
Yes! At both rehearsal and performance.
Please avoid personal fragrances May 16-17, especially:
perfumes/colognes
scented hairsprays
scented lotions
heavily scented deodorants
Your consideration helps fellow singers avoid sneezing attacks, watering eyes, and the like. Thank you!

There will not be reserved seating for NWRS Alumni Singers in Schneebeck Concert Hall.
During the concert, it’s recommended that you have a seat near an aisle.
More details will be given at rehearsal so that you know when to leave your seat and where to gather.
