Tacoma Youth Chorus is one of the choral treasures in the Puget Sound region. Founded by Artistic Director Judy Herrington, TYC is now in its 23rd season, with choirs for grades 1-12. The TYC Chorale (grades 9-12) last appeared with NWRS in 2008 and we are thrilled to collaborate again. After individual performances, the concert concludes with the combined groups in a stirring finale.

The German Requiem by Johannes Brahms is among the most revered major works in the standard repertoire. NWRS is delighted to welcome the Rainier Symphony, one of the West Coast’s finest community orchestras, and soloists Janeanne Houston, soprano, and Charles Robert Stephens, baritone. Join us for these landmark performances at Lagerquist Hall, Pacific Lutheran University (Saturday), and Foster Performing Arts Center in Tukwila (Sunday).
