Northwest Repertory Singers presents An Evening with The CoatsAn Evening with “The Coats”

Saturday, March 9, 2013, 7:30 p.m.
   Pre-concert lecture 6:30-7:00 p.m.

One of the most in-demand corporate and college acts in the U.S. today, The Coats have won national vocal competitions, and performed for the President of the United States. They have been fortunate enough to share the stage with headliners such as Trisha Yearwood and The Beach Boys, all while continuing their tradition of outreach performances and workshops supporting music in schools throughout the northwest. This concert celebrates the tenth anniversary of their 2003 NWRS collaboration, and should be an even more exciting and creative experience than the last.

Northwest Repertory Singers: Songs of Love, Lust & LaughterSongs of Love, Lust and Laughter

Sunday, May 19, 2013, 3:00 p.m.

Pre-concert lecture 2:00-2:30 p.m.

This concert presents compositions over the centuries focusing on love and humorous works. The music ranges from portions of Orff's Carmina Burana to a set of Liebeslieder Waltzes by Johannes Brahms. We also include the music of Northwest Composers Morten Lauridsen and John Muehleisen. Of course, an evening of love and laughter wouldn’t be complete without a offering from the infamous P.D.Q. Bach.
